Hamsters were once considered close cousins of mice. But today, are actually seen as representing their own family, the Cricetidae. Currently, we are working with Roborovski's Dwarf Hamsters (Phodopus roborovskii), but we do hope to expand in the future. Hamsters make great pets for children and kids love them. The dwarf hamsters however, are rather skittish and should not be handled too much.
